Foreign Travel Advice

There are very few trips around that will allow you to travel the whole, 'Spine of the Andes', from one end of South America to the other but that is exactly what this journey does. Starting in Cartagena or Ushuaia, we criss-cross the Andes, through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

Along the way we will visit all of the iconic sites, such as Machu Picchu and the Salt Flats of Bolivia, but we will also get you way off the beaten track travelling across the high Altiplano and riding horses with Argentinian Gauchos. We will explore the back roads of Bolivia and Patagonia where there will be trekking, biking, riding, rafting and kayaking to provide plenty of physical activity.

You will explore some of South America's most stunning and diverse landscapes, including the Ecuadorian Amazon, Colombia's Cocora Valley and Torres del Paine NP, as well as the less visited gems such as. the Atacama desert and the Caraterra Austral.

2 nights in vibrant Cartagena

An amazingly diverse trip, with some real physical challenges and some elements of hardship, but there is plenty of time for exploration and 2 or more night stays. An excellent paced journey with a great balance of hotels and camping, allowing travellers to really get to grips with the continent of South America.

I can't speak highly enough of the crew. Jaco and Noel were the epitome of professionalism. They were well organised, proactive and extremely personable, cultivating an atmosphere of camaraderie between the passengers and the crew. They made me feel like an old friend in a short time.

It was absolutely amazing, well organised and great fun from start to end. y highlights were the W Trek, Fitz Roy, going to the salt flats in Bolivia, dune buggying and camping in the desert in Peru, and trekking to the tallest palm trees in Colombia.

I had previously done a trip with dragoman in Africa and my experience was absolutely awesome. I loved my adventure through South America and would definitely recommend dragoman to friends and family. I have amazing memories of my trip thank you.
